&lt;p&gt;Esta &amp;eacute; a pergunta&lt;strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;que, repetidamente, a Fenprof faz nas ruas, pra&amp;ccedil;as, nos seus suportes informativos (p&amp;aacute;gina oficial, Facebook, revista JF&amp;hellip;), na luta que desenvolve, dia a dia, e que integra a greve ao sobretrabalho que est&amp;aacute; a fazer-se em todo o pa&amp;iacute;s, j&amp;aacute; com resultados obtidos ao n&amp;iacute;vel de diversas escolas.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;O ME e o Governo, contudo, refugiam-se num sil&amp;ecirc;ncio insuport&amp;aacute;vel, permitindo a muita ilegalidade existente e que atinge os docentes, sendo, hoje, uma das principais causas do elevado desgaste profissional a que est&amp;atilde;o sujeitos e a elevados &amp;iacute;ndices de exaust&amp;atilde;o emocional.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Com essa pergunta, a Fenprof tem o objetivo de perguntar ao cidad&amp;atilde;o comum se aceitaria que:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;desvalorizassem a sua profiss&amp;atilde;o, desmerecendo a sua forma&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;o obrigassem a fazer tarefas que nem s&amp;atilde;o suas, nem s&amp;atilde;o priorit&amp;aacute;rias;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;obtivessem resultados sem as condi&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es de trabalho necess&amp;aacute;rias (de edif&amp;iacute;cios, de materiais, de equipamentos, de tempo&amp;hellip;);&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;lhe impusessem, para al&amp;eacute;m do hor&amp;aacute;rio legal estabelecido, mais 12, 13, 15 ou mais horas de trabalho&amp;hellip; semanalmente!&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p style="padding-left: 60px;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;i)&lt;/em&gt;&lt;em&gt; &lt;/em&gt;pessoais e profissionais&lt;/strong&gt;, relacionados com a seguran&amp;ccedil;a e a defesa dos direitos e interesses de cada um;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 60px;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;ii)&lt;/em&gt; identit&amp;aacute;rios&lt;/strong&gt;, relacionados com o sentimento de perten&amp;ccedil;a a uma classe profissional, uma vez que o Sindicato &amp;eacute; o espa&amp;ccedil;o de elei&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o para a partilha, a solidariedade e a coopera&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Outros motivos n&amp;atilde;o houvesse e estes bastariam face ao atual paradigma social que aposta na desvaloriza&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o do trabalho enquanto pilar essencial da sociedade. Seguindo pol&amp;iacute;ticas economicistas, sucessivos governos atentam contra os direitos dos trabalhadores. Este &amp;eacute; um modelo em que os trabalhadores n&amp;atilde;o s&amp;atilde;o pessoas &amp;ndash; s&amp;atilde;o n&amp;uacute;meros! E face &amp;agrave;s sistem&amp;aacute;ticas ofensivas, s&amp;oacute; a &lt;strong&gt;UNI&amp;Atilde;O&lt;/strong&gt; permite o combate a esta vis&amp;atilde;o tecnocrata e promove a defesa dos direitos dos trabalhadores e a reivindica&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o de melhores condi&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es sociais.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A profiss&amp;atilde;o docente n&amp;atilde;o foge a esta realidade. Ali&amp;aacute;s, a cartilha neoliberal parece ser particularmente acutilante no que respeita aos educadores, professores e investigadores. Os exemplos s&amp;atilde;o muitos e variados &amp;ndash; desvaloriza&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o do Estatuto de Carreira Docente (ECD), desestrutura&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o do hor&amp;aacute;rio de trabalho, cortes na remunera&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o, altera&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o das condi&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es de aposenta&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o, "congelamento" das carreiras...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A resposta est&amp;aacute; na uni&amp;atilde;o e na luta. S&amp;oacute; sendo parte de uma organiza&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o forte, reflexiva e voltada para a a&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o, &amp;eacute; poss&amp;iacute;vel que o trabalhador desempenhe um papel ativo na defesa dos seus direitos, promovendo a melhoria das condi&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es de exerc&amp;iacute;cio da profiss&amp;atilde;o.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Esse &amp;eacute; o papel dos Sindicatos. E aqui a Fenprof e os seus sindicatos marcam claramente a diferen&amp;ccedil;a em rela&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o a outras organiza&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sempre o Sindicato dos Professores do Norte (SPN) preconizou um sindicalismo amplo e global. Um sindicalismo vigilante e atuante no que toca &amp;agrave;s quest&amp;otilde;es socioprofissionais, e, igualmente propositivo e reivindicativo nas mais variadas vertentes educativas, sejam elas pedag&amp;oacute;gicas, sist&amp;eacute;micas ou organizacionais, num registo de que &lt;strong&gt;tudo o que diz respeito &amp;agrave; Educa&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o, diz respeito aos professores e aos seus sindicatos&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Desde a sua funda&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o que o Sindicato dos Professores do Norte &amp;eacute; um sindicato de a&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o. S&amp;eacute;rio e rigoroso no campo negocial, nunca deixou de mostrar &amp;ndash; sempre que necess&amp;aacute;rio &amp;ndash; a for&amp;ccedil;a e a justeza das suas posi&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es, na rua, nos espa&amp;ccedil;os institucionais ou seguindo a via jur&amp;iacute;dica.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;E sempre o faz com a determina&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o e a certeza que se alimenta do seu eixo de a&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o priorit&amp;aacute;rio &amp;ndash; estar junto dos educadores, professores e investigadores.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;H&amp;aacute; 35 anos que o SPN pratica um sindicalismo de proximidade, incorporando nas suas reivindica&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es os problemas, expectativas, interesses e necessidades dos docentes, porque os conhece e acompanha de perto, atrav&amp;eacute;s de constantes reuni&amp;otilde;es nas escolas e nos agrupamentos.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Este trabalho que elege a escola como o cerne da a&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o sindical n&amp;atilde;o esgota &amp;ndash; antes complementa &amp;ndash; o recurso a outras modalidades de a&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o como a realiza&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o de confer&amp;ecirc;ncias, debates, semin&amp;aacute;rios, a&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es de forma&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o, congressos&amp;hellip;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;S&amp;atilde;o estes os alicerces que suportam a constru&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o de um ide&amp;aacute;rio educativo emancipador, solid&amp;aacute;rio e respons&amp;aacute;vel de que o SPN &amp;eacute; portador.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Esta &amp;eacute; a nossa marca distintiva. E continuar&amp;aacute; a ser, apesar das dificuldades criadas por sucessivos governos que, recorrendo a altera&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es legislativas,&amp;nbsp;dificultam o trabalho sindical, seja atrav&amp;eacute;s da cria&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o de obst&amp;aacute;culos no que toca &amp;agrave; presen&amp;ccedil;a dos educadores&amp;nbsp;eprofessores nas atividades sindicais, seja da redu&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o do cr&amp;eacute;dito de horas de que as organiza&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es sindicais disp&amp;otilde;em para desenvolver a sua atividade. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Apesar de todas as contrariedades sempre soubemos resistimos. E crescemos. Por isso, al&amp;eacute;m da sede central no Porto, temos hoje mais 14 sedes em outras tantas cidades espalhadas pela regi&amp;atilde;o Norte do pa&amp;iacute;s &amp;ndash; uma outra forma de estar e acompanhar os educadores, professores e investigadores.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Neste mundo de incertezas, uma certeza temos:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A&amp;nbsp;nossa for&amp;ccedil;a&amp;nbsp;aumenta proporcionalmente ao n&amp;uacute;mero daqueles que em n&amp;oacute;s confiam&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Quanto mais forte for o SPN, mais condi&amp;ccedil;&amp;otilde;es teremos para prosseguir na defesa dos direitos e dos interesses de uma classe que tem sofrido, principalmente em anos recentes, os mais vis e severos ataques &amp;agrave; sua dignidade profissional.&lt;/p&gt;
